　　王文彪，男，54岁，联合国首届“全球治沙领导者奖”获得者。

　　1988年，王文彪从旗(县)政府的办公室副主任秘书，变成了库布齐沙漠一家盐场的场长。从此，王文彪和库布齐沙漠连在了一起。

　　为了治沙绿化，王文彪带着50多名工人组成了“林工队”，拿起铁锹、箩筐，清理沙子种树。为避免路基不被沙子淹没，王文彪试验了20多种抗沙植物，还推广使用了沙柳做网格沙障，稳住沙丘。

　　1999年，穿沙公路终于修成。网格沙障阻断了流沙对公路的侵袭。对于这条被人们解读为：“中国第一条穿越大漠死亡之海的人流、物流、信息流的大通道。”不仅救助了沙漠里的父老乡亲，也成为了鄂尔多斯、包头等地区人流、物流、信息流的生命大通道。

　　2000年，王文彪出资兴建了占地5.5万平方米的生态移民新村，退牧还草约27万亩，为库布其沙漠生态治理和保护母亲河行动做出了积极贡献。2001，王文彪获得了“全国绿化工作劳动模范”称号，并获得全国"五一"劳动奖章；2012年，王文彪获得了联合国“环境与发展奖”。

　　王文彪先后修筑了多条穿沙公路，在路两侧播植草木及药材，在库布齐沙漠北缘实施了防沙护河生态建设工程，在大漠深处筑起了一条长242公里、宽5公里的绿色生态屏障。

　　如今，王文彪经过20多年的努力，绿化了中国库布齐沙漠近5000多平方公里，相当于绿化了7个新加坡。他计划再用10年时间，为中国和世界荒漠化严重地区再贡献10000平方公里的沙漠绿洲。
