中新网重庆12月8日电 (记者 连肖)记者8日多方证实得知，重庆石柱县沙子镇沙子村和平组7日夜间发生火灾，21间民房烧毁，大火于8日凌晨被控制。
石柱县沙子镇镇长谭太洲接受中新网记者采访时称，此次火灾发生于12月7日晚9时许，起火的房屋为木质老式房屋。火灾发生后，沙子镇政府相关人员到场组织人员灭火，并疏散周边村民。
参与救援的人员称，重庆石柱县公安局、县消防大队接到报警后，组织50余名灭火人员迅速赶赴现场。由于着火房屋位于山坡，周边没有任何可用水源，加之道路狭窄，只有一辆消防车能够抵达火灾现场近200米的道路上。现场火势在大风的作用下越烧越猛，灭火人员不得不采取堵截之势，间断性地对蔓延火势进行控制。8日凌晨2时19分，现场火势被成功控制。
谭太洲称，此次火灾共造成7户、13位村民受灾，直接财产损失10余万元。火灾未造成人员伤亡。目前，大多灾民已被送到子女或亲戚家中入住，其他灾民住进该镇政府临时租的房子中。
火灾原因正在进一步调查中。
