在TD-LTE芯片产业方面，唐剑峰表示，目前已经有高通、海思、马威尔、中星微四家芯片厂商提供了可供商用的TD-LTE芯片。明年还会有三到四家的芯片厂商提供可商用的终端产品上市销售。
唐剑峰说，根据现网实测和数据的消耗方面来说，大部分终端的峰值速率都可以达到70Mbps，明年提供的终端现网数据速率峰值可以超过90Mbps，上行速率超过18Mbps。同时，目前新上市的TD-LTE手机均可以保证400小时无故障，与3G耗电量相当。
对于中国移动把4G终端集采要求从“五模十频”（即支持GSM/WCDMA/TD-SCDMA/TD-LTE/FDD-LTE五种通信制式）降低到“三模五频”（支持GSMTD-SCDMA/TD-LTE）的问题。唐剑峰认为，“五模十频”和“三模五频”一样重要，因为多模是为了漫游客户使用，三模则是为了稳定普通用户。所以在终端采购上，中国移动即会采购“五模十频”终端，又会采集“三模五频”的4G终端。而且从技术层面看，其“五模十频”确实比“三模五频”的挑战更大。
