Li yuanchao meet South Africa President， XI Jinping， transmitted to the Department letter

Xinhuanet, Pretoria, December 11 (reporters Zhang Chuanshi and Chen Yingying)-South Africa President Jacob Zuma in Pretoria on 11th met with XI Jinping, as Special Representative of the President to attend the funeral of Nelson Mandela's Vice President Li yuanchao.

Li yuanchao, XI Jinping, Chairman of the Department of letters transmitted to Zuma. President XI said in a letter, Mr Mandela is an old friend of the Chinese people, I would like on behalf of the Chinese Government and people expressed deep condolences on the death of his. Believes South Africa people would inherit Mr Mandela legacy continue to make new achievements in national development journey. We are willing to work together with the South, promote the development of comprehensive strategic partnership in the South.

Zuma said, thanked President XI Jinping, the sincere condolences of the Government and people of China, South Africa will inherit and develop South friendship pioneered by Mandela.

Mr Li said, the Chinese Government and people cherish Sino-South friendship and is willing to work together with the South, implement important consensus the two heads of State, and promote in-depth development of Sino-South relations.

Prior to the meeting, Mandela remains farewell ceremony attended by Li yuanchao, expressed condolences to the Mandela family.

　　祖马说，感谢习近平主席、中国政府和人民的诚挚慰问，南非将继承和发展曼德拉开创的南中友好事业。

　　李源潮说，中国政府和人民十分珍惜中南友谊，愿与南方共同努力，落实好两国元首重要共识，促进中南关系深入发展。

　　会见前，李源潮出席曼德拉遗体告别仪式，向曼德拉的家属表示慰问。
