每年11月底12月初，都是匿名汇款人“顺其自然”向宁波市慈善总会汇款的日子。
宁波市慈善总会副会长陈海英说，这么多年来，大家已经形成一种期待了。作为1999年以来一直处理“顺其自然”捐款的工作人员，陈海英虽然不知道顺其自然本人是谁，但觉得已经和他成了朋友。
陈海英说，“重要的不是找他，而是把他的爱意更好地传递下去。将来有一天他不再寄钱了，我不是担心他对我们不信任，而是担心他是不是出什么状况了。我们希望他一切安好。我也想表达一下我们的心声，这么多年，我们没让他失望，我们把钱都花在了该花的地方。”
宁波慈善总会一名负责人昨天告诉记者，他们原本有过找出这位神秘好心人的想法。虽然通过调取邮局监控录像等手段，便可以寻找到寄钱的好心人，但后来一想，还是要尊重寄款人的意愿。“既然好心人选择做好事不留名，那我们就让他保持这样一份神秘感吧。”
虽然不知道“顺其自然”是谁，但他先后获得了宁波市慈善楷模、宁波20年最具影响的新闻人物、浙江省首届十大慈善之星。不过每次颁奖他都从未露面，由宁波市慈善总会的工作人员代为领取，如今这些奖项都收藏在宁波市慈善总会。

从1999年至今，“顺其自然”捐款数额从几万元到几十万元不等，每年数量都有所增加。
12月2日，宁波市慈善总会收到了一封寄给宁波市慈善总会会长的挂号信，署名“然其”，拆开信封，是77张汇款单，75张汇款单的金额是9999元，另外两张一张是40元，一张是35元，合计75万元。对于宁波市慈善总会来说，这笔捐款他们并不陌生，又是“顺其自然”寄来的。
据悉，通过邮局捐款1万元以上需实名制，但汇款金额1万元以下，就无需实名了。
宁波市慈善总会常务副会长项性平说，“捐款者有时叫‘自然’，有时叫‘顺其’，反正就是他。”从1999年开始，他都会以邮局汇款方式，捐款几万元到几十万元不等，截至目前，已累计捐款602万元，宁波市慈善总会已累计使用其捐款527万元。善款按照捐款者的意愿，主要用来建造教学楼、添置教学设备、资助特困大学生、为贫困山区小学生补充营养餐等。
15年来，“顺其自然”还向一些县、区慈善总会、红十字会，重病的困难人士或外来工、灾区群众等，累计捐款1000多万元。
