昨日，省政府门户网站信息无障碍通道正式开启，省委常委、常务副省长徐少华与视障人士代表一起上网体验了这条网站“盲道”，听取他们对进一步优化该通道的意见建议，并呼吁推动南方网等网站开通“盲道”，让视障人士获取更多网络资讯，感受互联网的别样精彩。
不用软件可直接播语音新闻
由于大部分网站尚未做信息无障碍通道，盲人要在电脑里安装几百元到上千元的读屏软件才能听网上信息。不熟悉电脑操作或没钱安装该软件的盲人就较难上网获取信息。
广州市残联理事、视障人士陈阳在现场体验时就发现，不需要读屏软件，一登录省政府网站就有语音提示，根据提示进行键盘操作，就可以听到普通话语音朗读政府新闻、办事指引等20个领域的资讯。
另一方面，该网为弱视、色盲、色弱等视障人士开设了辅助浏览工具条，提供纯文本阅读、页面放大缩小、高对比页面配色、十字辅助光标、显示屏放大器、语音指读或连读等辅助浏览功能。
欲推动更多网站开通“盲道”
现场的座谈中，视障人士也提出了不少建议。在目前大部分网站尚未开通“盲道”情况下，读屏软件的普及仍是难题。陈阳表示，广州和深圳为视障人士安装读屏软件，安装后可上网、听音乐、聊Q Q，建议在全省范围内普及视障群体的读屏软件。徐少华表示，省政府将积极研究此事，争取早日分批为全省视障人士提供读屏软件。
不过用读屏软件也有“软肋”，图片以及验证码无法读取，一遇到图片，就只播链接两个字，不清楚图片内容。因此，视障人士想了解图片反映的内容，必须借助开通“盲道”的网站，因为信息无障碍通道可以把图片的注解读出来。徐少华表示，省政府网站率先建成信息无障碍通道，希望以此带动更多政府网站及社会网站开通无障碍通道，帮助视障人士获取网络咨询，分享网络世界的精彩。
