被捕6男4女年龄16岁至38岁，他们涉嫌“以欺骗手段取得财产”罪名被扣查，当中9人获准保释，余下1人因另涉违反法庭担保条件续扣查。警方相信他们涉及的69宗网上拍卖骗案，共有74名受害人，涉款约56万元(港元下同)。

香港新界北刑事总部警司甘荣耀表示，被捕男女涉嫌由今年5月至12月期间，通过拍卖网站、网上讨论区或社交应用程序等，声称有平价热门电子产品，抱括智能手机，平板计算机或演唱会门票等转让，但收款后即失去联络未有交货；其中涉及购买电子产品被骗的买家共有25人，涉款30万元，另外涉及购买演唱会门票被骗的买家有31人，涉款4.5万元，行动中更首次揭发有人在网上兜售提供虚假“好评”服务，以制造网上商店信誉优良的假象蒙骗消费者。
其中一名被捕21岁姓张青年是大专男生，涉充当网络打手，持有多个网上户口，数月前开始以“套餐”收费形式兜售虚假“Like”，入门为85元10个，840元则有120个；另设提问“造媒”等服务，120个“Like”连10个提问索价1000元。警方相信有人已从中获利数千元。
网上骗徒也深明该种服务的妙处，藉购买“Like”提高“商誉”，令网民误以为其网店果真“平靓正”及“信得过”而更易上当。而案中购买该种虚假“Like”服务的骗徒，更包括1名年仅16岁中学女生，她另涉持有一个供受骗人存款的银行账户被捕。
网上打手或触犯串谋诈骗
警方呼吁市民进行网购时，务必小心选择交易对象，最好利用设有身份认证系统的交易平台，或当面交收形式交易，此外亦不要尽信网店的好评或提问，因为网上提供“打手”服务的绝对不止一人，而涉嫌售卖虚假“好评”者亦可能触犯串谋诈骗罪，而借出银行账户供人犯罪，更可能触犯洗黑钱等严重罪行。
