由着陆器和“玉兔”号月球车组成的嫦娥三号月球探测器总重近3.8吨。在接下来的几个小时里，“玉兔”号将驶离着陆器，开始为期约3个月的科学探测，着陆器则在着陆地点进行原地探测。
月球上有哪些中国人名与地名
我国嫦娥三号探测器12月14日晚月面成功软着陆。月球，这个地球的近邻上有没有留下中国人的名字呢？有！
从望远镜被发明开始，人类陆陆续续对月球上的一些地形单元进行了命名。从1935年开始，国际月面地名命名委员会相继对这些地名进行了整理和确认。2010年，我国利用嫦娥工程影像数据首次申报“月球地理实体命名”，获得国际天文学联合会批准。月面上的三个撞击坑用我国著名科学家蔡伦、毕昇和张钰哲的名字来命名。
根据国防科工局的资料统计，月球上共计有14个以中国人名和地名命名的19个月球地理实体，包括12个撞击坑、2个月溪和5个卫星坑。
这14个中国人名和地名包括：石申、蔡伦、张衡、祖冲之、李白、毕昇、郭守敬、万户、高平子、张钰哲、神话传说中嫦娥和瓷都景德镇。此外，1976年和1985年有两条月球正面的月溪被外国人分别用两位中国妇女的名字命名。由于文献资料的缺乏，至今无法确认这两位发音为“Wan-Yu”和“Sung-Me”的中国女性是谁。(据新华社电)
