新民网记者了解到，今天中午，在上海动物园繁殖场内，有工作人员发现一饲养员在老虎笼舍内被华南虎咬死。据了解，不幸被咬死的饲养员是一名姓周的男性，57岁，上海人。据死者同事说，今天上午其进入虎舍打扫，然后就一直没有出来。
上海动物园动物饲养科涂科长确认，不幸被咬身亡的师傅姓周，在上海动物园工作近30年，经验丰富，是一名技师。今天饲养科人员在中午吃饭时，突然发现周师傅不见了，便四处查找。在找到虎舍时发现舍门大开，而周师傅则倒在血泊中。涂科长说，可以确认周师傅是被老虎咬死的。
该涂姓科长表示，周师傅是党员，大家都很敬重他，发生这样的事情单位同事都很悲痛。记者了解到，事发虎舍呈品字形，共三间虎舍，两间小的虎舍分别在左右两边，各16平方米左右，前面有一个20多平方米的活动区域，肇事老虎昨天也并没有表现异常。
上海动物园动物饲养科涂科长称，他看到时，周师傅已经去世，三间虎舍之间的门是没有关上的，门也都是完好无损的，法医到场后确认周师傅死亡。
据了解，老虎是在还没有喂食的时候，就把周师傅给咬死的。据动物园的工作人员介绍，饲养员平时要做的工作是打扫和喂食，在周师傅的细心照料下，动物园已经添了好几只小虎，周师傅对自己饲养经验一直是引以为傲的。
动物园方面表示，动物园每天早上8点会开晨会，都会提及安全问题，以及配料配食比例等问题。
据了解，肇事老虎今年9岁，正直壮年，在上海动物园出生，没有野化的任务，也并非野外饲养。目前，老虎已经被关在虎舍中。
上海市绿化和市容管理局微博发布消息：2013年12月17日上午10点30分上海动物园繁殖场发生了华南虎咬死饲养员事件。市绿化市容局已派人到现场处理有关事项，经法医证实，该饲养员已经死亡。事故原因正在进一步调查中。(新民网记者 萧君玮 胡彦珣 陈炅玮)
