上周，记者因回访烂尾楼时曾到建业大厦询问了门口保安招租情况。保安表示，全部都已经租满，租的人基本上都是解放路一带的鞋商。由于身处起义路和中山五路交界，这里的出租行情很好。
记者询问，租这座烂尾大厦当仓库是否会面临大厦清盘被赶走的危险。保安表示，“十几年都这样过来了，就看你敢不敢博一下了。做生意都有风险的嘛！”保安透露，如果一次交半年甚至一年的租金会有较大幅度的优惠，但如果担心风险，也可以先只交三个月，“也有不少人选择这种做法。”

昨日下午，记者从大都市鞋城管理处了解到，一共有62家商铺在建业大厦设仓库，目前已经在管理处做了登记，因为临近年末许多商铺都备了大量的货物，所以损失都比较大，最少的也有100多万元，最多的近千万元。而这场火灾，初步估计损失上亿元。
未经消防验收就出租

而据越秀区信息网显示，就在一个多月前的10月31日下午，越秀区副区长许作来带队对消防隐患重点单位——起义路建业大厦鞋仓进行了督导检查。许作来要求落实属地责任，加强对建业大厦消防整改的监管力度，指导该大厦管理公司开展消防隐患整改。
商家老胡
280万元货物转眼间化为乌有
老胡是大都市鞋城一间鞋店的老板，也是较早租用建业大厦作为仓库的租户之一，事发前老胡和另一个档主租用了7楼一个300平方米的仓库，存放了280多万元的货物，不料一夜之间化为乌有。
据老胡介绍，绝大多数租户都知道建业大厦是一座烂尾楼，但因为楼体较新，再加上租金便宜，所以在市场上很抢手。不过在2010年的时候，因为消防验收不合格，所有货物被勒令限时搬出。无奈下，老胡在大都市鞋城对面一个老城区一楼租了一间旧屋当仓库，但是旧屋的条件很差，屋内非常潮湿，电线乱搭，让他感觉非常不放心，直到9个月之后，建业大厦管理处一位负责人打电话给他，称消防验收合格了，可以搬过去，于是老胡又将货物搬了过去。
“改造后的确装了喷淋系统，但能不能用我就不知道，另外每层楼还有两个消火栓，我几次清洗地板都是从消火栓放的水，所以我确定消火栓是有水的。”老胡说，事发当天由于下雨，生意并不好，所以店铺提早关门，当晚6时许他离开仓库时，按照规定拉了自家仓库的电闸，然后回到金沙洲的家里吃饭，当晚8时多接到朋友电话赶过来，发现7楼已经烧起来了，里面280多万元货物都被烧成灰烬。
老胡说，自从失火后他就开始拨打管理人员老李的电话，但一直无法接通。昨晚8时许，记者拨打老李的电话，发现仍处于关机状态。
