就日本安倍内阁通过《国家安全保障战略》等文件，外交部发言人华春莹在12月17日的例行记者会上表示，中国不能不对日本的有关动向高度警惕，敦促日方走和平发展道路。
华春莹说，日本在军事安全领域的政策事关日本国家发展走向，影响地区安全环境，一向受到亚洲邻国和国际社会高度关注。联系到日本国内在历史问题上不断出现的各种消极动向，包括中国在内的亚洲国家和国际社会不能不对日本的有关动向予以高度重视和警惕。中方敦促日方切实正式和认真反省历史，顺应和平发展、合作共赢的时代潮流，尊重地区国家正当合理的安全关切，走和平发展道路，和平不应只挂在嘴上，更要落实到行动中，为本地区的和平稳定发挥建设性作用。
据报道，日本安倍内阁17日正式通过了《国家安全保障战略》、《新防卫计划大纲》和《中期防卫力量建设计划》。
