华春莹强调，“东伊运”等“东突”恐怖势力大搞网络恐怖主义，不仅危害中国安全与稳定，也会助长国际恐怖极端思潮的泛滥，给国际社会安全与稳定带来严重隐患。
她还表示，打击网络恐怖主义需要国际社会加强合作。她说：“此次安理会通过第2129号决议，首次明确要求各国就加强打击网络恐怖主义采取具体措施，对今后国际社会进一步打击恐怖组织和个人利用互联网从事恐怖活动具有重要意义。中方希望国际社会就此加强合作，共同打击“东伊运”等恐怖势力的网络恐怖主义活动，共同维护国际社会安全与稳定。”
