4G（TD-LTE）终端普遍是兼容2G、3G、WLAN网络的多模终端，能够实现四网间自动切换，在没有4G（TD-LTE）网络覆盖时，多模终端可自动切换到3G或2G网络进行通信。
上海移动表示，为进一步缩小流量套餐内外的价格差距，从明年1月1日起，将国内移动数据流量（2G和3G）标准资费下调整至1元/MB。据悉，目前上海仍有超百万用户尚未订购流量套餐，其中不乏因使用标准资费而产生高额费用的用户，上海移动此举将大幅度降低此类用户的上网费用。同时针对已订购流量套餐而超额使用的用户，上海移动也在日前推出了价格更优惠的流量加油包，资费为3元/10M。
