4G会让传统行业从业者“失业”
王建宙认为，在3G时代，通过手机传送文字、照片已经很顺畅了，但视频的传送还是受到速率的限制。随着4G时代的到来，由于速度飞速增长，用户不仅可以通过手机看视频，还可以通过手机来实现视频分享。
此外，在传统翻译行业，现在虽然有些软件可以将英文翻译成中文，但因为有很多数据要传到后台去处理，速度还是有些慢，但4G可以大大地加快这个速度，基本跟同声传译的速度差不多，王建宙开玩笑称：“如果做同声传译的失业了，那我们这个行业就太高兴了。”
4G时代，资费肯定会大幅下降
王建宙表示，按照以往经验看，从2G到3G，再到4G，技术每前进一步，价格就下降两步，这些已经得到历史的证明。
“4G如何定价？这是运营商的问题。但因为4G的技术更先进，效率更高，容量更大，如果按照每一个MB来计算，它的价格一定会下降，而且会大幅下降”，王建宙表示。
体现4G价值，关键在于应用开发
王建宙认为，不管是4G网络，还是智能手机，最终都是要体现在应用上，有了各种应用，才会体现4G的价值，“从技术的要求来说，4G可以开发出很多不同于3G、2G的产品，不管是创业者还是大公司，要实现4G的功能，还在于应用的开发，这就给所有人提供新的机会。”
