北京晨报记者昨晚登陆公安部网站，在领导介绍一栏中看到，李东生的名字尚未被删去，在副部长排名中列第二位。公安部网站公开资料显示，李东生，男，汉族，1955年12月生，山东诸城人，1986年3月加入中国共产党，1973年4月参加工作，上海复旦大学新闻系毕业，大学学历。现任中共中央委员，中央政法委员会委员，公安部副部长、党委副书记（正部长级），副总警监警衔。第十一届全国人大代表。
据公安部网站，李东生最后一次公开露面是12月16日。当天公安部召开党委扩大会议，传达学习中央经济工作会议和中央城镇化工作会议精神，研究公安机关贯彻落实意见，李东生出席会议。
