经初步调查，当天下午4时许，家住灌南县张店镇小圈村村民王某(男、34岁，个体运输驾驶员)驾驶一辆轻型货车从灌南方向由南向北驶至在沂河北堆南侧突然掉头向南，且货车左右摇摆行驶，正在执勤的灌云县交巡警执勤人员见该车形迹可疑，怀疑驾驶员酒后驾驶，便前去查看，但该车驾驶员并未停车接受检查。
后该货车行至桥中间时，与对面一辆货车会车被堵停车，该车驾驶员随即弃车向西跑去，并跳入河中，执勤人员随后赶到，喊其上岸，但王某执意向河中游去，后沉入水中，执勤人员紧急找船救人，并联系120救护车赶到现场，至次日凌晨1时许，王某尸体被打捞上岸。
目前，连云港市公安局相关部门已展开调查，相关调查取证及善后处置工作正在进行中。(完)
