新华网北京12月24日电 (记者 白瀛)文物保护综合业务用房工程启动及故宫宝蕴楼修缮保护工程开工仪式24日在故宫博物院举行。近百年历史的宝蕴楼是故宫里唯一一栋现存的西洋小楼，今起故宫将对其进行全面修缮，预计2015年竣工。
故宫博物院院长单霁翔介绍，故宫博物院文物保护综合业务用房工程位于故宫西河沿区域，北邻城隍庙，南邻中国第一历史档案馆，西邻城墙，东邻寿康宫、寿安宫区域，呈长方形，占地面积19675平方米。经考古发掘，发现西河沿遗址规模结构简单，总体规格较低，且遗址均遭受严重破坏，尤其建筑基址大体在清道光期间被毁坏并彻底废弃，代之以垃圾坑。该区域自上世纪五十年代拆除后一直作为故宫博物院的料厂、木工厂和库房，场地堆放木料加工边角料，存在极大的安全隐患。
据介绍，该工程项目依据历史资料、专家咨询意见和故宫现存神武门内东西两侧长连房进行建筑设计，无论在建筑外观、使用材料、建筑高度、檐口高度及建筑进深等与故宫现存神武门内东西两侧长连房基本一致，总建筑面积13025平方米，预计2016年3月建成。
项目完成后，将为故宫博物院的文物科技保护工作提供更好的空间和条件、整合文物保护工作流程，推动各项文物保护、修复与学术研究工作进展，也可以让占据故宫博物院内多处古建筑的文保科技部搬出红墙，从而更好地保护故宫古建筑群、消除安全隐患；也可以恢复西河沿地区历史文脉与建筑肌理，保持故宫世界文化遗产的完整性。
单霁翔介绍，宝蕴楼位于故宫西华门内、武英殿西，是民国时期在原清朝咸安宫旧址之上建造，现存三座西洋式二层楼阁及一座咸安宫遗留的大门(即咸安门)。它建成于1915年，总建筑面积约1650平方米，长期作为文物库房使用。现在建筑的屋顶瓦面、大木结构、内外装修装饰、油饰彩画及院落地面等均有不同程度的破损，亟待进行科学而谨慎的保护修缮。
单霁翔说，宝蕴楼的建造历史及建筑风格在整个故宫古建筑群中具有独特而鲜明的特征。因此，故宫博物院在坚持文化遗产保护的原真性原则和坚持“不改变文物原状”的文物保护修缮原则的基础上，尽可能使用原做法原工艺，尽可能保留原有构件，以确保各单体建筑及文物遗存在修缮前、后保持风格的一致性。
他说，工程同时以文物建筑现状修整为主，采取适当的技术手段，排除宝蕴楼现存文物建筑存在的安全隐患，保证文物建筑的稳定性和安全性。整个工程预计于2015年5月底竣工，修缮完成后的宝蕴楼将保持其独特的建筑风格与历史风貌。宝蕴楼修缮完成后，将在此举办“故宫博物院院史陈列”展览，一部分区域将作为文化研究与学术交流活动使用。
