　　俞正声说，中日是一衣带水的近邻，发展长期健康稳定的中日关系符合两国和两国人民的根本利益，也有利于亚洲和世界的和平、稳定与发展。中方主张在中日四个政治文件基础上，本着“以史为鉴、面向未来”的精神，继续推进中日战略互惠关系。希望日方正确认识和看待中国发展，奉行积极友善的对华政策，妥善处理两国间有关问题，以实际行动为改善两国关系作出努力。

　　鸠山由纪夫表示，日中关系目前面临邦交正常化以来最严峻的局面，双方应让两国民众了解历史事实，努力通过对话妥善处理有关问题。两国应立足地区合作大局，继续推进经贸、金融、环保等领域合作，谋求互利共赢，共同推动构建东亚共同体。
