8 Chinese medical workers treating Ebola patients in West Africa， only to be isolated

"The globe and mail reporter Zhang Yang," according to Agence France-Presse reported on August 12, AFP learned through Chinese embassies in Sierra Leone, 8 Chinese medical personnel (7 doctor and 1 nurse) and 24 local health staff are housed in one place in the area. Reports said medical staff had been involved in treatment of persons infected with the Ebola virus.

It was reported that 6 Chinese medical personnel and 5 local medical personnel from hospitals (the Jui Hospital) there were deaths, so when internal disinfection in hospitals, staff in contact with patients are being isolated for observation for 2 weeks. 1 another job at another hospital (the Kingharman Road Hospital) before the Chinese doctors also were quarantined. 24 other Sierra Leonean nurses, were also placed in the area.

According to another report, local time on August 11, the Chinese Government to Sierra Leone in the fight against the Ebola epidemic emergency humanitarian aid arrived in the Sierra Leone capital Freetown's Lungi International Airport.

Strasser-King, Deputy Foreign Minister of Sierra Leone said at a ceremony held at the airport, the Chinese Government has helped this, the Government and people of Sierra Leone in mind. She said that since the Ebola outbreak since Sierra Leone's Government has been trying to deal with, "believe in the symbolic gift of friendship in help of Ebola epidemic will soon be a thing of the past."

Fofana, Sierra Leone's Deputy Health Minister praised the Chinese Government for the first time the selfless assistance and said this batch of aid will be another milestone in friendship.

Chinese Ambassador to Sierra Leone, said Zhao Yanbo, the Chinese Government sent not only material assistance, the Chinese people's strong support for the fight against the Ebola epidemic in Sierra Leone and sincere encouragement. He said, hope that these materials will help combat the Ebola virus as soon as possible. Zhao Yanbo said, consisting of three experts group of public health experts arrived in Sierra Leone to assist consular aid distribution, and training for local professionals.
