Chinese officials decided that September 1 departure tax refund policy

China News Agency, Beijing, August 14 (Xinhua Li Xiaoyu) Chinese officials decided to expand the scope of departure tax refund policy since September 1, 2014.

The applicable departure tax rebate policy extended the departure port of Longtan, Nanjing, Suzhou, Taicang, Qingdao qianwan port, 8 port, from 2012 the restricted policy of Qingdao and Wuhan to 2 shipment has increased substantially.

Departure tax refers to transit from port of departure to Yangshan bonded port area to the overseas export of goods, once leaves a port of shipment, shall be deemed exports and may refund. As an innovation management model of export tax rebates, the execution of this policy beneficial to exporters export refund in a timely manner, accelerate cash flow, promote healthy development of export enterprises, as well as domestic losses can be reduced to the relay box in foreign ports.

In 2012, the first official implementation of this policy, plans to support the development of Shanghai modern service industry and advanced manufacturing, building an international financial center and shipping hub.

The beginning of 2014, China's foreign trade were depressed and export was a negative growth trend for several months starting in April only mild fluctuations. In this case, officials issued the opinions on support the steady growth of foreign trade, on improving the export tax rebate policy, further accelerating export tax rebate process.
