Report shows that China's e-government development index (EGDI) 0.5450, ranked 70th, compared to the last survey, up 8, this is the rose in the rankings for the first time in nearly 10 years.


The United Nations e-government survey report has been widely recognized in the world, is to assess the standard of public administration and e-Government Services Authority oversee. The report "e-Government achievements of our hope for the future" as the theme, as always, echoed the new reality and prospect of global economic and social development, focusing on how to develop e-government role in responding to complex challenges, in order to create a sustainable future.


According to reports, China's e-Government rankings improve, with the Government promoting the network information construction and development of e-government commitment and action are inseparable. Central leading group for network security and information technology was founded this year, on promoting the construction of informatization and e-Government in the new period to make strategic deployment, network strategy implementation, to inject new vitality into the development of e-Government.


Report notes that only a handful of countries worldwide e-government development in the excellent and backward stage, the overwhelming majority of States in the middle stages. Korea e-government development in 2014 and still ranks top in the world. Regional development level of e-Government for Europe's leading position in the world; the Americas followed; most backward for Africa's development.


Reports also pointed out that the country's level of economic and social development are important factors influencing the development of e-Government, but it is not the determining factor in many countries despite low levels of national income, but vigorously promoting the development of e-Government through a variety of methods, and achieved remarkable results.


National School of administration, e-Government Research Centre is one of the earliest professional e-government research institutions. In March 2012, the National School of administration, science and research centre of economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations issued a report the United Nations e-government survey 2012 (Chinese version). Again in 2014 by two bodies, the release of e-government development in China will play a positive role.
