Li met with Uzbekistan’s President Islam Karimov

Xinhuanet, Beijing, August 20 (reporter Hao Yalin)-Premier Li keqiang 20th met with Uzbekistan's President Islam Karimov.

Li said, bilateral relations have been driven into the fast track of development. Yesterday, the Chinese President held fruitful talks with the President. Li pointed out that the current international financial crisis has not yet been eliminated, global economic recovery prospects remain uncertain. Countries to achieve economic development, improve people's livelihood, and need a peaceful and stable international and regional environment. China is ready to work together with Uzbekistan and other countries in the region, promoting the construction of economic zone of the Silk Road, traffic infrastructure, deepen cooperation in energy, industrial parks, such as financial, vigorously carry out cultural exchanges to consolidate the public support for bilateral relations. China is ready to work with Ukraine to close communication and coordination in international and regional affairs and jointly cope with challenges, promoting regional security and prosperity.

Karimov said that China is an important force in safeguarding world peace and promoting common development. Facing the profound and complex changes in the international and regional situation, Uzbekistan willing to work with China to implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, promote cooperation in transport infrastructure, energy, humanities and other fields, actively involved in the construction of the economic zone of the Silk Road and safeguard regional peace and stability, better flow of information between each other and more clearer, people closer.
