Studies show that indulged in social networks are more susceptible to depression-social networking, depression-IT information

不过Primack博士也表示社交媒体本身也可以成为一种战胜抑郁症的工具。「我们希望这项研究可以帮助找出如何发挥社交媒体这一强大工具的作用,利用它在人与人之间建立联系的优势,而不是去进一步加剧抑郁。」

在Primack博士看来,这项研究结论只是描绘出了一个总体人群倾向,并不意味着所有热爱社交媒体的人都会患上抑郁症,事实上也有一些人会从社交媒体所建立的联系中得到心理安慰,减轻自己的抑郁症状。
