• 新思/Validity：Validity是美国一家指纹识别技术公司，2013年被新思科技（synaptics）以2.55亿美元收购了。早前Validity的滑动式试问识别传感器很受欢迎，在笔记本上应用较多，三星的Galaxy S5手机也用了他们的方案，不过滑动式方案体验很差，现在基本被淘汰。
• Fingerprint Cards：简称为FPC，是一家瑞典公司，之前主要为银行提供指纹识别技术，但现在智能手机用的指纹识别传感器也占了FPC公司的主要营收。FPC公司早前也有过滑动式方案，不过目前已经转向触摸式方案，FPC10XX/11XX系列传感器是目前国内多数指纹识别手机的主流选择，特别是放在在背后的设计，大量应用在华为、小米及其他公司手机上。
• 汇顶科技：以上三家都是国外的公司，汇顶（Godix）则是中国深圳的本土公司了，这两年来在指纹识别芯片上突飞猛进，以致于新思科技都”眼红“到起诉汇顶科技侵权了，双方的官司还没有了解，汇顶手中也有独特的技术，当然不会轻易就范的。
与FPC的方案常用于后面不同，汇顶开发的指纹识别更多地用在手机前面板，特别是魅族MX4 Pro是全球首款正面按压式指纹识别的安卓机，使用的就是汇顶的蓝宝石指纹识别芯片，魅族在后续的MX5、Pro 5及Pro 6上都用了汇顶的方案。
值得一提的是，汇顶今年展示了全球首创的活体指纹识别技术，安全性更高了，再也不怕坏人用虚假的指纹套膜破解了。
以上四家公司可以说是目前最常见最主流的智能手机指纹识别解决方案公司，不过整个行业还有韩国CrucialTech、挪威IDEX、国内的上海思立微、苏州迈瑞微以及台系的敦泰、茂晖等多家公司，但他们的解决方案在智能手机上并不多见（或者很多厂商不好意思提及他们的指纹识别来源）。

按照指纹识别不同的采集方式、布置方式等特点，简单归纳了下目前常见的智能手机指纹识别方案，如下图所示：
苹果Touch ID：独家配方，软硬一体
跟苹果用的很多技术一样，他们并不是首个把指纹识别带到手机中的公司，不过苹果的指纹识别在智能手机中却是最好的，没有之一，因为他们苹果做某个重要方案时习惯是独家定制，所以他们直接把AuthenTech公司买了。

苹果首次在iPhone 5s手机上使用指纹识别，该技术被他们叫做Touch ID，也不是单纯的指纹识别，而是与自家手机的Home键盘结合——小编最为诟病的iPhone设计就是啥操作都要靠Home，但Home键结合指纹识别反倒给了苹果一个优势，因为iPhone的Home键是圆形的，比长方形更契合手指。
对于Touch ID，苹果详细介绍过该方案的特色——它有蓝宝石保护玻璃、不锈钢检测环、Touch ID传感器及轻触开关组成，最核心的则是Touch ID传感器中的TruePrint技术，因为该方案不仅使用电容式传感器，还使用了射频技术实现双重验证人体皮肤的真皮层信息，保证了识别的精确性、可靠性，而且不易受皮肤表面污物影响。
在系统及应用层面，苹果Touch ID也有独特的算法，既要保证指纹信息读取迅速，更要保证指纹信息的绝对安全，防止用户安全信息被盗用。
苹果对Touch ID的利用也是目前最充分的，除了解锁功能之外，Touch ID还可以用于移动支付、App下载验证等。
新思/Validity：滑动解锁淘汰，触摸解锁
苹果推出Touch ID之外，安卓厂商也开始寻求引入指纹识别，三星在Gaalxy S5手机上也加入了指纹识别，也做到了跟Home键结合，不过当时用的是Validity公司的方案，指纹识别方式是滑动式的，并不符合正常使用逻辑，体验就比较差了。
HTC的One Max手机也使用了类似方案，需要滑动解锁，只不过指纹识别是后置的，不用说最终的结局也是被淘汰。不过有意思的是，HTC One Max的后置指纹识别方案被很多国产手机厂商“复制”，上到高端下到千元机，这种后置指纹识别已经成了很多手机的标配设计。

在S5之后，新思的触摸式指纹传感器在三星的Galaxy S6以及最新的Galaxy S7手机上应用了，小编之前用过Note 5，指纹识别就不是很灵敏，Galaxy S7上使用的应该是新一代传感器了，感觉之识别率和速度好一些了，不过S7 edge的指纹识别速度还不算特别快那种。
FPC：前置、后置皆可，最主流的选择之一
瑞典FPC公司的指纹识别方案可以说是目前最主流的安卓指纹识别方案，华为、小米、360等多数国产智能手机都用了FPC指纹传感器。他们的方案早期也是有滑动解锁的，比如Vivo的Xplay 3S，不过目前基本都是触控识别的了，布置方式有前置，也有后置。
在FPC的指纹识别方案中，华为算是典型的后置派，从Mate 7开始就是这种设计了，因为华为手机多数是屏幕虚拟键，没有Home键，如果前置的话就只能硬生生造出Home键，这就会影响手机整体设计了。
在最新的P9手机中，华为的指纹识别升级到了3D指纹识别，号称可以有效防止2D假指纹膜，更安全。
此外，华为也是有自己的SoC处理器的，从麒麟92X系列处理器开始华为也支持TrustZone安全技术了，实际上就是处理器中有单独的区域存放安全相关的信息，与其他信息隔离，有严格的权限限制，这样就提高了指纹信息的安全性。
国产指纹识别手机除了解锁之外，在安全及支付方面其实是不如苹果甚至三星的，很多手机现在都无法做到支持支付宝指纹支付，更别说做独立的移动支付方案了。不过国产厂商也不是没办法，为指纹识别开发了别的用途，包括拍照、文件加密等，也算是丰富了一些玩法吧。

后置的FPC指纹识别手机很常见，但前置的也不是没有，小米手机5使用的也是FPC的指纹识别传感器，但它就是前置的，与Home键结合——虽然小米的手机此前是没有Home键的，这次也不得不做个Home键。
值得一提的是，小米手机5使用的是最新的FPC1245传感器，相比其他厂商用的FP10XX/11XX系列要新（红米Note 3用的是FPC1035），在之前的评测中我们也说过小米5的指纹识别速度还是非常快的，不过Home键做的比较狭长，手感就不太好了。
汇顶：魅族手机的最爱，与mBack结合
华为的Mate 7号称首款按压式指纹识别手机，但它是后置的，而魅族宣称他们的MX4 Pro是首款正面按压式指纹识别安卓手机，他们的解决方案就来自国内的汇顶公司，汇顶的玻璃指纹识别传感器也成了魅族的最爱，之后的一系列手机上都使用了汇顶的方案，包括Pro 5及最新的Pro 6手机。
国内的汇顶公司在指纹识别领域可以说是后来居上，是iPhone、FPC之外另一个最常见的指纹识别方案供应商之一，这几天发布的乐2 Pro、努比亚Z11 mini以及之前金立、Vivo X6等手机都开始使用汇顶方案。

汇顶的指纹识别有玻璃、蓝宝石、Coating及IFS等几种，蓝宝石及IFS方案性能最好，不过成本也高，玻璃方案的是最常见的，而且玻璃与手机屏幕玻璃是同样的材质，更容易匹配，所以十分适合正面布置的方案。

手机指纹识别键放在正面或者背面可能都会有争议——放在后面不方便，放在正面的话又面临另一个纠结，三星、苹果这种之前就有Home键设计的公司还好，之前不使用Home键的公司要么生搬硬套弄个Home键，要么就跟一加2那个做个不能按压的Home键，只不过这两种都不是最理想的方案。

正面、背面都不行的话，那只有侧边的电源键了，理论上来说指纹识别键与电源键整合是天作之合，电源键最常用的功能就是解锁屏幕。在这种理念引导下，不少手机也开始使用侧边指纹识别设计，包括努比亚的Z9 Max、索尼的Xperia Z5系列、华为荣耀7i等，其中努比亚Z9 Max使用的指纹识别方案来自台湾神盾公司，索尼Z5、荣耀7i用的则是FPC1145指纹识别模块。
侧边指纹识别手机在当前属于“异类”，虽然该技术的理念是最好的，但侧边指纹识别的一个关键问题是电源键不可能做的太大太厚，所以指纹识别面积就不可能很大，这就影响了指纹识别率以及手感，不解决这个问题，侧边指纹识别就只有看上去的美好，不可能实用化。
