魏则西之死的剧情正在向纵深推进，被视为“害死”魏则西的百度和莆田系被人人们持续炮轰，种种问题被挖出来，各种“画皮”被撕开。比如百度当年是如何阻止谷歌进入中国，继而让自己一家独霸。
莆田系的前世今生，成为今天刷屏的热点。搜狐网“新闻当事人”栏目报道“莆田系股东曝与80所部队医院合作 给某院送礼百万”，称莆田系股东陈元发在腾讯微博上，曝出100所与莆田系陈氏兄弟旗下公司合作的部队及地方医院名单。
除此之外，陈元发还公布了陈氏兄弟的公司给多个部队医院及领导过节送礼的金额报表。报表显示，2012年新加坡华康医疗投资集团给一合作方医院院长的“春节送礼”金额高达40万元，且给该医院22名领导收的礼金共计98.7万元。根据陈元发提供的材料，2012年春节，上海康新给安庆某一医院21名领导送礼共计72.3万元。
与此同时，微博上也开始流传另一发送礼名单。从一份《“春节”合作单位领导送礼审批表》可以看到，西安某一医院上至院长政委，下到各个科室的主任，2011年春节一次收受节礼就在30万至5万、2万不等。
这些被曝光的医院收礼清单，有名有姓有职务有具体数额，且曾在天涯等网上发过，只是以前，根本没有人关心而已。现在，这些陈年“旧账”纷纷被翻出来，放在魏则西之死的舆论聚光灯下，显得格外扎眼。
这些送礼名单仍然有待依法调查核实。不过，在公众看来，一些莆田系医院之所以能够如此肆无忌惮，从最简单地常识来看，并不排除背后存在严重医疗腐败的魅影。
如果这些送礼名单是真实的，从逻辑上来说，也很好解释。这些医院的某些科室被莆田系托管了，但名头仍然是正规医院的名头，看起来仍像公立医院，容易取得患者的信任，实际上是莆田系资本在运作，把他们擅长的性病、不孕不育、整容等科目放到医院，然后大做广告，吸引患者，并采取他们一惯的手法——“没病当有病治，小病当大病治”，榨取患者的钱财。
在这个过程中，一些莆田系医院需要得到正规医院及其医生（名医）的支持和配合，才能让这条灰色的、黑色的利益链条勾连起来，才能顺利完成资本的原始积累。
所以，一些莆田系医院给公立医院行贿送礼，导致医疗腐败，并不奇怪，也不会是意外事件。何况，并不是每个与公立医院合作的都稳赚不赔，有报道说，莆田系在外面的投资医疗的，有30%是失败的，有的人甚至亏得不敢回家过年。无论是赚钱还是亏钱，都要将公立医院这棵大树抱得紧紧的。
实际上，从各地（级）官员想要甩包袱，出政绩，将一些效益较差的医院或科室视为财政累赘，急于将其打包托管给莆田系开始，就注定了，一者这是一个双方不伦不类的合作，垄断与市场纠结在一起，监管又不给力，给权力留下寻租空间，为医疗腐败提供土壤。
二者，一些地方政府的公共责任不尽，一些公立医院的公益性职能缺位，指望民营资本来“代行”，岂可能得？结果加剧了医疗乱象，加剧了医患矛盾，加剧了老百姓看病难、看病贵，导致民众对医疗领域积怨深深。
可以说，魏则西之死是一个个案，但是，公众更愿意从这个死亡案例中揭开一些莆田系医院医疗腐败的根源，因为经由医疗体制生出的痼疾，正在伤害着每一个人，每一个人都需要将情绪倾诉出来。
我相信，莆田系的一些民营医院在完成了资本的原始积累之后，会想办法洗白自己，也希望办最好的医院，提供最好的医疗服务。但是，在医政监管缺位的背景下，赚快钱，赚短钱心理是必然的，劣币驱逐良币就会成为常态。要想实现这样的目标，上用钱讨好权力，以期获得垄断资源，下对患者敲骨吸髓，将利益最大化，则是必然。
可是，在目前的环境下，没有莆田系，就会有别的系，条条蛇都咬人。莆田系这样的民营医院提供了差异化服务，却又寄生在垄断的医疗资源之下分食，并没有开成公私各司其职的体制，加之监管或被收买，或是无力，最终都要由患者来买单，这正是悲哀之处。
在今天，军网发表文章谈魏则西事件，称若属实任何人都逃不了问责。这一表态值得肯定，也释放出了绝对不会袒护违法违纪行为的负责任立场。什么时候，中国的老百姓看病求医，不再被坑蒙拐骗，首先需要医疗系统全面的刮骨疗毒，打击医疗腐败，依法对这些送礼名单进行调查。
