投入1亿美元扶植VR产业

尽管在手机市场声音渐弱，但HTC与Oculus、索尼号称“虚拟现实三巨头”，其代表产品HTC Vive与Facebook旗下的Oculus Rift、索尼的PlayStation VR被视为目前最好的三款VR头显。HTC每次主办的VR生态大会都吸引了众多的开发者。会场爆满，很多人站着听讲。

HTC董事长王雪红已经无数次出现在VR的布道舞台中央，在上月底举行的HTC生态圈大会上，她说HTC Vive为人们提供了一个进入全新世界的通路。在HTC的计划中，要在全球实施加速器计划——Vive X，第一波在北京、台北、旧金山设立加速器培育中心，投入1亿美元培植VR产业和生态企业的发展。

显然，HTC希望借VR打一场翻身仗。为此该公司联合Valve、华纳兄弟、阿里巴巴、优酷等一众大佬发起成立亚太虚拟现实产业联盟。在HTC Vive中国区总经理汪丛青看来，这个行业可以容纳很多巨头，一家公司不可能包揽全局，需要计算设备、内容提供商、显示设备商、移动VR等成员共同组成一个生态圈。具体而言，除了硬件合作的英伟达、AMD以外，优酷、爱奇艺将做影视内容的开发与分发，天猫、国美电器、京东和苏宁易购则将与HTC合作售卖Vive头盔。

VR业务有可能被剥离

最新消息显示，HTC成立了一家创新技术公司。外界猜测，HTC可能会剥离其VR业务。

种种迹象表明，HTC内部资源已经在向VR业务倾斜。虽然该公司高管表示手机业务跟VR业务同等重要，但从HTC实际行动来判断，VR业务在HTC内部的地位已不亚于甚至超过了手机业务。

但HTC的VR远方也并非一片坦途。VR仍处于早期阶段，越来越多的巨头加入游戏，这里已经沦为平台间的角逐。
