此次宣布回归,也引发了业界对于谷歌将以何种形式重返中国的猜想。资深TMT观察人士马继华在接受21世纪经济报道记者采访时认为,与其迂回作战,谷歌不如采取一种直截了当的方式,直接把服务器搬到中国来。“既然要回来,就不用再采取什么变通的手段,我认为这可能是谷歌未来在中国发展的趋势。”

在他看来,谷歌回归中国之后会促进搜索引擎领域的市场竞争,但受到影响的不会是百度。“当年谷歌退出之后,市场份额主要被后起的搜狗、360拿走了,所以重回中国后,谷歌将会对搜狗、360造成压力,整个市场也将更加集中。”

也有业内人士分析,谷歌这次既然表态了,肯定是和相关政府部门有所沟通,一年内应该会有实际上的动作。

不看好硬件

与对中国互联网的觊觎不同,谷歌似乎并不看好硬件厂商的前景。

据媒体报道,谷歌将出售3.71亿股联想股票,筹集2.18-2.21亿美元。谷歌将按照4.56-4.62港元每股出售,比联想最后收盘价折价最多4%。担任此次交易的承销商是摩根士丹利。截至目前,联想官方并未作出回应。

资深ITM观察人士付亮告诉21世纪经济报道记者,联想收购摩托后,无论在全球市场还是在国内市场,起到的效果都是“一加一小于一”,既没实现使联想手机走出去的目标,也没能够借助摩托的研发优势提升联想手机的品位。而摩托手机本身在国内也存在着水土不服的问题。

另一方面,过去两三年是中国智能手机的重要转型期,以华为为代表的中国智能手机在中国和全球市场狂飙突进。但在这段关键时期,联想却将大量精力放在了整合联想和摩托的资源上,错失了很多市场机会。

“原本摩托手机和联想手机就都存在问题,都需要转型,联想收购的目的是结合双方的优势谋取更大的份额,但融合的效果不好,又碰到从功能机到智能机向更高层次智能机的转型,无论是品牌本身的吸引力、产品推出还是相关渠道转型,联想做得都不太好。”

付亮认为,谷歌保留股票是当初收购协议的一部分。“当年卖摩托的时候,谷歌和联想签订了一个关联协议,谷歌承诺持有联想股票一段时间,到了时间之后逐渐退出也是顺理成章的事情。从投资角度看,谷歌更愿意投的是跟互联网密切相关的前瞻型公司。”

或许,出售不被看好的公司股票对谷歌来说是件无需考虑的事,而如何回到中国的搜索市场这片蓝海,却是其不得不直面的一道难题。
