虽然网易游戏一直被认为是中国仅有的能抗衡腾讯游戏的公司,但是这种威胁从来没有像去年一样来得激烈。甚至在App Annie 2015年11月的数据报告上,网易还一度超过腾讯,成为iOS渠道全球手游收入最高的公司。

网易去年推出的《梦幻西游》、《大话西游》两款手游不仅实现了月均近8亿收入,《梦幻西游》更是霸占AppStore中国区畅销榜榜首超一年之久,直到上周才被腾讯独代、巨人研发的《征途》挤到第二位。而与此同时,网易在中国区独立代理运营的《守望先锋》也宣布了全球销量700万份,预计收入超15.7亿元的好消息。

除了榜单之争再升级之外,腾讯和网易也分别在今年3月和5月公布了自己的游戏战略规划。如果说2015年还只是两家公司在手游领域的竞争,那么2016年恐怕就是一场“游戏之王”的全面竞争。

马、丁二人分天下

据游戏工委发布的《2015中国游戏产业报告》显示,2015年,中国游戏市场年收入达1407亿,同比增长22.9%,增速放缓但依然保持高速。

在游戏大型企业中,最强的两家就是马化腾的腾讯和丁磊的网易。

据两家公司的财报显示,2015年,腾讯网络游戏的收入为565.87亿元,手游的收入为213亿元。而网易2015年全年在线游戏净收入为173.14亿元,手游总营收达到98亿。

两家公司的游戏总收入达到了整个游戏市场的52.3%,手游营收占比更高,达到了60.5%。如果加上递延收入,也就是未到账、或者说未被用户道具消耗的已充值收入,份额恐怕要达到七成。

而一向都是兵家必争之地的APP Store榜单,腾讯网易更是长期大规模霸榜。伽马数据称,2016年1月份iOS游戏畅销榜前20中,腾讯网易占据了六成以上,而前10名中霸占了9个份额。《梦幻西游》、《大话西游》在过去一年更是长期占据一二名。

腾讯承压 网易也不轻松

网易游戏在手机游戏上的顺利转型,给了腾讯不少压力。

2015年,虽然腾讯手游收入213亿元,同比增长了53%,但是行业占比率却相比2014年下降了近10%。2015年,腾讯手游仅囊括了行业40%的收入,但是去年这个比例接近51%。

而且2014年第四季度开始,腾讯修改了收入计算规则,将独家代理的手机游戏与第三方开发商的收入分成,以及渠道成本确认为收入成本项,而非原来的收入抵减项。这项修改对于2015年腾讯手游收入的增加也有着不小影响。

如果按照旧的计算方法,腾讯手游收入的行业占有率,相对于2014年下降的幅度恐怕更大。原因有2015年手游总收入的快速提升,基数变大,另一个原因就是网易的崛起,虎口抢食。

网易游戏以自研为主,2015年爆发的两款游戏都是自研的端游IP,《梦幻西游》自发布以来,一直位居全球iOS应用月收入排行榜前10名。而腾讯去年的《六龙争霸3D》、《热血传奇》、《拳皇98》、《我叫MT2》等高收入产品,大部门都是以代理为主。除去给开发商的分成,比拼纯利润,网易的威胁更大。

这种压力在2015年12月达到顶峰,除了《梦幻西游》和《大话西游》占据第一第二外,网易代理的《乖离性百万亚瑟王》成为畅销榜第三名,实现了三连杀。腾讯系的游戏多次突围都没有起到太大的作用。

但是网易也并非没有自己的问题,正如前面提到的网易还仅仅是有可能挑战腾讯而已。虽然《梦幻西游》和《大话西游》实现了长期霸榜,头部产品突出,走的是“英雄主义”路线。但是放在整个TOP10和TOP20榜单,腾讯占据绝对优势。

App Annie 2015年的数据显示,2015年热门游戏中国收入榜单,《梦幻西游》和《大话西游》分别是第一和第四,但是腾讯占据了第二、第三、第五、第八、第九等5个席位。而且双西游的绝对王牌CP打出了之后,网易游戏持续性的问题也受到关注。

全面战争

对于腾讯和网易而言,2015年只是个开始,而且战争不仅仅局限在手游。

在网易连续两款端游IP的改编获得爆发式成功后,2016年,这种争锋相对和相似首先出现在端游IP的开发上。

腾讯在端游IP上选择了跟随战术,但具体做法却是发扬自己的代理和渠道优势,联合其他端游大厂,开发经典端游IP,对抗网易。和西山居合作《剑侠情缘手游》,和巨人合作《征途手机版》,与畅游和盛大合作《新天龙八部手机版》和《传奇世界手游》等。

而网易也将端游IP改编手游作为2016年的重点战略。不同的地方却是,网易的改编主要集中在自己的端游IP上。网易在520年度发布会上,就公布了《天下》、《倩女幽魂》、《大唐无双》、《镇魔曲》等端游IP的手游产品发布计划,旗下端游IP全面进军手游领域,试图规模复制双西游的成功。

除此之外,在二次元、射击类等细分领域上,腾讯和网易都公布了不少产品规划。最瞩目的竞争,恐怕还要算是,以改变和创造为核心的沙盒类游戏的竞争。

Mojang将《我的世界》中国大陆地区为期五年的独家运营权授予网易后,腾讯立刻就针对建造类沙盒游戏展开了调查,有消息称腾讯也似乎准备做一款类似《我的世界》的沙盒游戏。

而新平台上,腾讯和网易也开始了竞争。2015年11月,腾讯发布ministationg微主机,正式宣布进军主机游戏,随后于12月份发布VR SDK,并表示ministationg将作为VR的开发平台提供给开发者,将主机与VR两者结合发展。

网易还是把目光放在了VR游戏的研发上面。在5月19日举行的谷歌I/O开发者大会上,网易游戏成为了谷歌移动端VR平台“Daydream”上的唯一首批入选的大陆游戏厂商,VR游戏《末日先锋(Twilight Pioneers)》将会在2016年11月份与谷歌Daydream平台同步上市。

慢慢我们都成了彼此?

全面战争和针锋相对的同时,不可否认腾讯和网易也越来越像。

在2014年,网易全年仅发布了10款手游,几乎是每月1款的节奏。但是到了2015年,这个数字却飙升至80多款,从原来的每月一款,到每月至少3-4款。到2016年又再度放慢下来。而2015年7月底,腾讯也本着“不追求数而追求质”的方针,由原本每月3—4款,变成了每月1—2款。

目前网易和腾讯都几乎维持在一个季度10~15款产品的节奏。

除了节奏越来越近之外。如同上文所说的,腾讯跟随网易重点开发端游IP,网易也加大了对中轻度游戏类型的开发,还有双方共同感兴趣的二次元以及射击游戏,品类上他们也越来越像彼此。

以重度游戏和自研著称的网易,和擅长休闲游戏与代理、渠道的腾讯,也开始慢慢走向融合。

腾讯最近几年逐渐重视重度游戏,不仅代理了很多款重度手游,也在进行重度游戏的研发。而网易除了向休闲拓展之外,更是加大了代理的比例,转向了自研、代理并重,也开始更多地关注流量问题。

5月20日的年度发布会上就公布了《最强军团》、《战意》、《劲舞团》、《HIT》、《勇士X勇士》、《钢铁黎明》、《异次元战姬》、《番号战姬》、《大富翁9》等9项代理产品。

腾讯最重要的以IP为核心的泛娱乐战略,今年也被网易重点提及。例如宣布将与九州梦工厂合作启动《九州?海上牧云记》影游联动大发行项目。打造《陆小凤》《三少爷的剑》《小李飞刀》《飞刀又见飞刀》《楚留香》等小说IP,网易影视也已经对外公布了自己的“普罗米修斯计划”开始尝试这一领域的资源整合。
