两周前,我在公园欢快的玩着《口袋妖怪GO》并实时将我的快乐分享在Snapchat上,当时我就想,Instagram上为什么不能发文字、绘画和emoji呢?不过细想后,我发现这不是个什么好点子。

但就是这个烂点子,却被Instagram学走了,它们直接拷贝了Snapchat。

对Instagram的母公司Facebook来说,直接全盘抄袭也是没办法的办法了,毕竟此前它们曾数次试图干掉Snapchat(包括花高价收购)都没能成功。这次的Instagram改版也算是扎克伯格正式对Snapchat宣战了。

加入了类似Snapchat的“Stories”模式后,图片分享巨头可谓如虎添翼,要知道它们已经有了3亿活跃用户,而Snapchat则只有1.5亿。

不过,事情恐怕没那么简单,此役之后,Instagram正在成为Facebook内部的特洛伊木马

从此前的一系列动作我们就可以看出,一旦Facebook遇到新的行业竞争对手且对其束手无策时,就喜欢借助Instagram庞大的用户基础来对对手进行倾轧。而加入了过多功能的Instagram正在变得越发臃肿,它在追逐用户目光的道路上越走越偏。

如果说以前Instagram还能借用户数巩固地位的话,这次与Snapchat的战争恐怕就没那么容易了。

不同的应用就该有不同的内容取向

Instagram能成为一个伟大的应用就是因为它的与众不同,Snapchat获得成功的原因也一样。这两款应用原本会为用户提供不同的体验,这种非冲突的模式也为两者换来了更多的人气。

人们打开Instagram是为了看美图,而Snapchat则更偏向对生活的恶搞。当然,两者有时在内容上会有交集,但大体上依然泾渭分明。

现在的Instagram是个什么鬼?

山寨了Snapchat后,Instagram一下成了个一站式应用,它的目标是取悦所有用户。

确实,如果一个用户此前是Instagram而非Snapchat的用户,他会顺理成章的被新功能吸引。但如果一个用户一直在跨平台使用,他们必然会在两款应用中选择其一(朋友多的那个平台),而这就是Facebook山寨Snapchat时打的如意算盘。

而为了加强新的“Stories”模式,Instagram必然会冷落原有的图片分享功能,而这就是危险所在,Instagram丧失了对自己定位的理解。

虽然Facebook称新的“Stories”模式可以帮助用户清晰的记下自己的生活,但转念一想你就会发现,这个活不是Facebook平台的老本行吗?为什么要把它下放给Instagram呢?

就像我此前提到的,人们会在不同的社交平台找寻不同的内容。Instagram这样做无疑是自掘坟墓,因为它成了各种内容“群魔乱舞”的法外之地,而对用户来说,这种超载的信息量并不是什么好事。

用户不需要两个Snapchat,因为一个已经足够了。记得之前FacebookGoogle+的争霸战吗?最终它们只活下来一个。
