这项承诺书是奥巴马政府今年6月份在美国首届妇女峰会上发起的。该承诺书提到,作为在行业中举足轻重的公司,将为缩小和消除男女薪酬差距而努力。具体措施包括在公司内部对男女雇员的薪酬差距进行年度分析,审查公司招聘及提拔中是否存在不自觉的性别歧视或针对女性员工的结构性障碍等。

苹果公司表示,目前公司在美国国内已经实现了同工同酬,接下来会分析全球所有雇员的薪水、奖金和年度股权,努力实现公司全球范围内的男女同工同酬。微软公司则表示,男女同工同酬,能吸引和留住优秀的人才,同时激发更多的思想创新。

据悉,在美国,一名全职工作女性的全年薪酬仅为全职工作男性的73%。此外很多公司的性别比例也明显失衡。
