新华社杭州1月9日电（记者陈晓波）浙江松阳县法院日前判决一起特大跨国网络赌博案，案值达4000亿元。主犯周某触犯开设赌场罪被判处有期徒刑5年，并处罚金500万元。
48岁的周某是温州鹿城人。经查，2012年6月，周某伙同彭某、全某豪、全某瑜等人参股创建温州星豪科技有限公司。该公司雇佣一批网络技术人员，创建域名为www.games998.net的网络棋牌游戏平台。
据法院介绍，这一游戏平台设置有“通比牛牛”“二人梭哈”“温州麻将”等14款赌博游戏，并销售自创的“酒吧豆”游戏币作为赌博筹码。为了获取巨额非法利益，平台专门开辟了由周某负责的银商群，用于收售赌博游戏所需要的游戏币，从而方便游戏玩家实现游戏币与人民币的兑换。平台还雇佣有专门客服人员用于解答游戏玩家疑问。
2013年5月，为逃避公安机关打击，游戏平台的工作地点搬到越南，同时将网站域名改为www.51998.co，并继续运行。
2014年6月18日，经侦查，该游戏平台被松阳公安机关查获。经勘查发现，该平台游戏玩家账户达到204万余个，在银商群购买后生成游戏币近19万亿个，折算成人民币达到4000亿元，周某等犯罪人员非法获利达5.8亿元。此外，周某还参与了“7080游戏平台”网络赌博的“银商群”，非法获利8万余元。
2014年6月案发后，彭某等8人先后归案，并被移送起诉获刑。周某因涉嫌设赌场罪于2014年10月22日被检察院批准逮捕，同年11月26日国际组织颁布国际追捕令，2016年4月5日在越南落网，后被移送回国。
经过审理，松阳法院以开设赌场罪判处周某有期徒刑5年，并处罚金500万元，同时继续追缴其未退出的违法所得。此外，记者从法院获悉，全某豪和全某瑜等部分涉案人员仍在逃。（完）
