McDonald's also said that the deal is still pending regulatory approval, is expected to be completed in 2017.

麦当劳还表示,该交易仍有待相关监管机构的审批,预计将于2017年年中完成。

为何出售?

然而中国快餐市场竞争激烈。欧睿咨询的数据显示,麦当劳和肯德基在中国快餐行业的市场份额已由高点时的约57%(两个品牌分别占17%和40%)下降至约37%(两个品牌分别为13%和24%)。

由于2014年夏季供货商使用过期鸡肉的问题遭曝光,影响了该公司的销售额。根据麦当劳发布的2016年7月至9月财报,麦当劳中国业务盈利持续减少,净利润同比下降3%。

麦当劳曾在2015年5月宣布,在2018年底前将4000家餐厅转为特许经营餐厅,长期目标是95%的餐厅都是特许经营餐厅。

麦当劳在2016年3月底宣布引入战略投资者,先后传出有十多家公司和机构参与过竞购,包括首旅集团、首农集团、格林豪泰、中国化工集团、新希望集团、三胞集团、贝恩资本、TPG、中信集团加凯雷集团、中国信达资产管理公司等。

据《证券日报》,麦当劳中国此前表示,之所以出售包括中国方面的业务,并不是因为业绩差。但不可否认的是,为进一步提升业绩,麦当劳正在大力发展数字化餐厅以及外卖领域。

行业数据显示,麦当劳是中国第二大快餐连锁店,仅次于运营有肯德基和必胜客连锁品牌的百胜集团。

而与麦当劳出售中国大陆和香港市场的主要经营权不同,此前百胜剥离中国业务,并于2016年11月将其在纽交所单独上市。

百胜中国引入的投资者是高盛前大中国区董事长胡祖六经营的春华资本以及阿里巴巴马云旗下的蚂蚁金服,双方联合出资4.6亿美元收购百胜中国控股的部分股份。目前,百胜中国的市值大约为108亿美元左右。百胜中国控股权还在百胜集团手中。
