董沛是广州市公安局番禺公安分局刑警大队的副大队长，也是此次具体负责侦破运钞车抢劫案的民警。他介绍，“可以说这宗案是建国以来最大的抢劫银行运钞车的案件，那么长时间没将他们抓捕归案，压力肯定是有的。”
从2016年接手这个案子开始，他和队员们就一股脑投入到这起案件的侦破当中去，大家重新开始看历年来的卷宗，熟悉案情。参与办案的广州市公安局番禺公安分局刑警大队民警黎超明说，“我自己看的卷宗就有十几二十斤，全部预计都有一百多斤，如果按照重量来算的话。”

2016年12月25日，在逃的二号主犯陈恩年在云南瑞丽市自首，得知这一消息之后，董沛和队员们立即赶赴云南了解情况。“但是陈恩年一点信息都没有透露给我们”，董沛说。不过，民警通过分析陈恩年的生活轨迹，经过海量的大数据分析研判和调查走访，综合各种线索，在瑞丽市警方的配合下，番禺警方获得了陈恂敏最近的一张正面视频截图，并且发现他在那边化名为“莫某志”。

主犯突然现身 民警立即抓捕
1月5日下午，陈恂敏出现在当地的建材市场，警方以很快的速度上去把他控制住了将嫌疑人控制住之后，警方立即将他带上车。
“我们一抓他的时候，他比较吃惊，后来他估计是听我们说话，知道我们是广东这边的，后来上车之后就知道是怎么回事，他就跟我们说，我知道怎么回事，你们来抓我。我问他叫什么名字，他说我叫陈恂敏”，董沛介绍，虽然陈恂敏在云南用的是化名，可遇到广东警方之后，却报出了真实的姓名。
1月6日，番禺警方通过高铁，将陈恂敏押解回广州。目前，陈恂敏对参与预谋、抢劫运载番禺1500万元运钞车的作案事实供认不讳，相关调查工作仍在紧张进行当中。

一时意气犯下大案 两名主犯悔不当初
目前，两位最近归案的犯罪嫌疑人对当年犯下的大案供认不讳，而在警方进行审讯的过程中得知，他们21年的逃亡生涯并不好过，对于自己犯下的错，他们也表示悔不当初。警方介绍，当年陈恂敏等人犯案时，生活条件其实非常不错，却一时冲动犯下了大案。
董沛说，在他们审讯的时候，他了解到，陈恂敏在1995年的年薪就有一百多万，他们几个人号称“生为人杰、死为鬼豪”。

犯案之后，陈恂敏和陈恩年逃脱警察的追捕，先后先后辗转福建、陕西、海南、越南等地流浪、拾荒。2016年12月25日，二号主犯陈恩年在云南瑞丽自首。事后警方得知，这21年里，陈恩年与家人常年分离，过得并不好。

黎超明介绍，“陈恩年投案之后，据我们了解，公安机关在前期也做了大量的工作，包括通缉令，做他家属的工作，其实给了他很大的压力，这是一方面，第二个，他很想见他的小孩，第三个就是他有肺结核，病情都比较重了，他可能也觉得身体不行了”。
头号主犯陈恂敏：逃亡21年对不起家人
头号主犯陈恂敏在1997年6月来到云南瑞丽，在一个建筑工地打工，并在此认识了女友杨某。此后的18年多里，陈恂敏化名莫某志，留在了云南瑞丽市，并与同居女友生了三个小孩，还开了一间建材装饰公司。虽然衣食无忧，他的生活也同样过得胆战心惊。
为了逃避侦查，即使是有了新的“身份”，陈恂敏也异常谨慎，他在瑞丽市的所有银行账户、手机号码等一切有关身份的信息，均使用了其女友、女友亲属的身份证明来办理。而与原本的家人更是完全断绝了连续。
警方介绍，在陈恂敏逃亡期间，他基本上跟他的家人断绝联系。被抓之后他表示，最对不起家里人，特别是他的母亲，而对于他本人来说，他说他人生都划上句号了。
“心结总算了了”
