2016年12月6日，哈市道里区海富康城小区居民贾某报警称，家中被人入室盗窃，衣柜里放的3000元被人偷走了。接案后，道里公安分局刑侦二大队三中队民警立即赶往现场。经查，发现被盗房屋门锁并没有损坏，应为技术开锁。现场侦查中，民警又发现了犯罪嫌疑人遗留在现场的线索，并据此确定了犯罪嫌疑人为徐某。

1月9日，在哈市道里公安分局，记者见到了犯罪嫌疑人徐某。徐某说自己原来的工作月薪也能达到万元左右，但后来他在黑游戏厅玩起了赌博，钱就不够用了，便在网上买了开锁的光盘和工作，找一些还没进户的小区住户门锁进行实地练习。在初步掌握了开锁技能后，徐某就开始了疯狂的盗窃，道外区的北兴教育园、南棵绿荫，香坊区的丁香园、城东新居，道里区的海富康城，南岗区的西点家园等30多个小区都留下了他行窃的足迹。徐某说他开锁前一般都先敲门，听屋里有没有动静再下手。要是没回应的，一般他开锁也就用时十来秒，太费劲的锁他就不开了。入室后也只拿钱、首饰等值钱的东西，不恋战。
至于用手机备忘录记录“盗窃笔记”，徐某说主要是为了自己下次再来的时候别偷重了，方便自己查询。
目前，徐某已经被警方刑事拘留，具体案件仍在进一步审查中。警方目前根据徐某记录的“盗窃笔记”已核实137起盗窃案，涉案金额一百余万元。
