李彦宏在对话中表示，计算机目前正在走向人类擅长的方向。之前计算机在计算和储存能力方面无人能及，是由于对于计算机，规则越清楚，难度越低。对于近期横扫中国围棋高手的围棋人工智能Master，李彦宏认为，为其还是一个规则比较清晰的领域，还是在计算机擅长的领域。

但模糊领域对计算机而言，是非常困难的。李彦宏称，未来机器会变得更加智能和有趣，之前人是人类不停学习机器的语言，未来是机器不停学习人类语言。任何机器互相机房将会成为双赢，而百度希望和所有公司合作，进入各种场景，搭建竞争基础。

具体到应用领域，李彦宏表示，自然语言是继键盘、触摸屏后的下一代交互方式。此前智能家居、工业物联网、智能互联网等概念，背后仅仅是设备连接后用机械的命令进行控制，但其的本质还在于交互。
