Media: the second Chinese-made aircraft carrier will use electromagnetic catapult

媒体：第二艘中国国产航母不会采用电磁弹射
据香港《南华早报》2月13日报道，中国第二艘中国国产航母将采用常规蒸汽弹射的起飞方式。
报道称，接近海军的消息源表示，这艘型号为002的第二艘中国国产航母会配备至少3部蒸汽弹射器，而非更为先进的电磁弹射器。“航母的舰用核反应堆仍存在一些技术问题，因此002型会选用蒸汽弹射”，消息源透露。

海军专家李杰认为，中国航母不大可能在短短几年内实现大幅度的技术跨越，因为“不同的系统需要不同的技术、工程师与飞行员。”他举例称，001A型航母尽管将于年内下水，但是仍需数年时间才能具备完全的作战能力。
不过，李杰也反驳了部分外媒关于001A“完全是模仿”辽宁舰的说法。他表示，尽管001A型航母在外形上会与辽宁舰类似，但其布局、内部设施、总体操作理念都会比辽宁舰更先进。例如，新型航母的滑跃坡度是12度，而辽宁舰是14度。
李杰表示，12度坡有助于缩短滑跃起飞距离，在节省飞机燃料的同时，加强舰体结构。此外，一些设备也会从001A型航母上消失，舰岛也会缩小，以搭载更多的飞机——可能会比辽宁舰多携带6-8架歼-15战机。
