随着糯康贩毒集团的瓦解，“老船长们”的心态转变了。谭建华说：“以前想报仇，现在很感恩。开好船，多带徒弟，一定把巡航任务坚持到底。”
巡航5年间，谭建华编写了一本长达10万字的《湄公河航行参考图》。他义无反顾地提供给联合编队使用，作为培养新船长的教材，“我虽然已是二级警士长，但属于‘半路出家’，必须坚持学习；联合巡航需要培养更多接班人，这也是我们这些‘老船长’的责任！”
20时许，踏上糯康落网地
“真想天天执行重大任务”
2012年至2015年，3个联合巡逻执法联络点——中方的“旱泉滩警务站”，老方的“孟莫联络点”和“班相果联络点”，相继落户湄公河流域的关累港至“金三角”河段，担负对过往船只的查缉、遇险报警、生命救援等任务。
20时许，编队停靠“孟莫联络点”休整。这里毗邻被称为“寡妇村”的老挝孟莫村。据说，该村男人大多因贩毒被捕，仅剩女人和孩子守家。
“糯康本人就是在这个村子附近落网的。”谭建华说，如今糯康的妻子仍居住在此，联络点设在这个村庄，可对糯康贩毒集团的残余势力起到震慑作用。
“当初首批进驻‘孟莫联络点’的战友，做好了最坏的打算，随时准备处置各种险情。”水上支队政治处干事严鹏说，糯康伏法后，其手下扬言要炸掉“孟莫联络点”，幸亏当时处置及时才躲过一劫。
