杨振宁20世纪五六十年代先后创立“杨-米尔斯规范场”论和提出“杨-巴克斯特方程”，并因与李政道共同提出弱相互作用中宇称不守恒原理而获1957年诺贝尔物理学奖。他与李政道是最早的华裔诺贝尔奖获得者。

杨振宁对私域生活的选择没有碍着别人什么事，说实话，对他和翁帆的婚姻，外界最有尊严的态度应当是给予他们祝福。会有一些人妒忌他们，这种感受也不能算是奇怪的，但把它加以发酵，并用它来衍生对杨先生的各种嘲弄和攻击，这肯定不是一个舆论场值得骄傲的表现。
至于对杨振宁的那些延伸批评，很多都不值一驳。把杨振宁与邓稼先强行对比，是成心捣乱。做这种对比的人真未必就是邓稼先的真正崇拜者，相信如果邓稼先在世，他一定会与杨振宁这位他青少年时的同学共续友情。
邓稼先献身祖国的国防科研，为中国造出原子弹做了那一代科学家中典型的巨大付出，他的故事感动了整个中国社会。然而世事的错落组合塑造了无数的不同人生，只要在自己的人生路上尽力了，作为了，甚至做出了杨振宁那样的突出成就，就同样值得尊敬。
没有一种伟大的精神会强求模仿，伟大的付出都潜含着一种宽容。人生的多样性和价值多样性组成了一个社会最大的平常心，也应是我们追求社会进步的一份初心。无论我们走了多远、多高，都不应忘记它。
