宋振明在担任海军莆田舰政委时，25名刚上舰的新兵第一次随舰执行战备巡逻任务，没想到刚出海就遇到了大风浪，白天吐得东倒西歪，晚上在被窝里哭泣想家，宋政委看在眼里急在心里。那天晚上海况变好，皓月当空、繁星满天，海面上波光粼粼，水母一闪一闪发出淡蓝色的光芒，此情此景让宋政委灵光闪现，他立即集合所有新兵到飞行甲板，搞了一次随机教育。
[课堂回放]相信大家这几天都“郁闷”坏了！这么大的风浪我当兵十几年也很少见到，你们有的吐了，有的“躺床铺”了，这都很正常，因为我也是这么过来的。今天集合，就是想请大家看看海上美景，放松放松心情。

我不知道大家听了沈超的话作何感想，我可是真真地听进了心坎里。军人为维护国家和民族利益而生，我们当兵的首要职责就是守护好祖国的安全利益。古人说“黄沙百战穿金甲，不破楼兰终不还”，还有“男儿何不带吴钩，收取关山五十州”，都是教育我们要报效国家守卫祖国。
再来唠一唠身边人吧！我们舰上有一位士官，他的家属为他建了一本“账”，我们可以称它为“亲情账”，上面记录着这名士官每月回家的次数和时间，其中有两个月份他回家的时间加起来也没超过48个小时。这次出海的前一天，我到他家走访慰问，他4岁的女儿还在发高烧，我正在犹豫要不要让他留下来照顾家人，夫妻俩几乎同时说出“我会按时归队！”“让他按时归队。”我们军人也有亲情，但在任务面前没有二话，正是这种家国情怀，让这片海有了一群无私奉献的守卫者。
我们常说，选择了海军就意味着经常要离开祖国母亲的怀抱，只有做到出海忘家、训练忘苦、战斗忘死，才能做到犁水四方、捍卫海疆。记得有一次，我们舰在海上巡逻时遇上寒潮，大浪打得驾驶室玻璃“啪啪”作响，舰艇内部到处都听得到钢板“嘎嘎”的挤压声，舰艇横摇接近35度，已经超过了最大安全界限，上级多次电话询问我们能不能坚持。
面对吨位是我舰一倍多的外国舰艇，我们坚信只有战胜自己才能战胜对手。我们向上级请求继续坚守，当时，全舰官兵吼着嗓子叫响了“别人不退我不退”“风浪越大越精神”的誓言，很多官兵用背包绳把自己绑在战位上坚持操作。

讲了这么多，就是想告诉大家：作为一名军人，没有视死如归、置之死地而后生的决然，打胜仗只能是奢望。只有做到官不畏死，士不惜命，才能永远守护这片美丽的海。

触景生情，情由心生。皓月当空、繁星满天，海面波光粼粼，水母一闪一闪发出淡蓝色的光芒——此情此景，怎能不令人心旷神怡；抚今追昔，怎能不让人血脉贲张。新战友沈超的一句“我就是死，也要守住这片海”，或许是心血来潮，但必将刻骨铭心。
这就是随机教育的魅力所在。战争年代，部队常常是“一边赶路一边鼓动，一面作战一面宣传”。这种形散神聚的教育形式，极大地发挥了政治工作的服务保证作用，使官兵愈艰愈奋、愈战愈勇，始终保持了高昂的战斗意志。
就好比，真唱之于假唱，直播之于录播，因时、因事、因地制宜的及时性，面对面双向交流的互动性，增加了随机教育的难度。倘若施教者没有两把刷子，不但无法成为课堂教育的必要补充，还可能画蛇添足、贻笑大方。
简言之，这堂随机教育课引发我们两点感悟。其一，“随机”并不“随意”，教育者只有舍得花长劲下苦功，处处眼勤、手勤、脑勤、嘴勤，并潜心钻研教育规律，才能做到立意高而不玄虚，达到思想性、知识性、趣味性的完美统一；其二，“随机”大有“市场”，随着我军使命任务的不断延伸，部队“动起来”已成常态，“就地取材”的随机教育能更好地与使命任务相结合，应不时之需。
“我就是死，也要守住这片海”！倘若课上课下，官兵们随时都能想起这句曾经的热血誓言，那么，这样的随机教育就是成功一课。
