常某是原淮安某局财务科现金会计。作为90后，常某的业余生活很简单：不是玩网游，就是参与网络平台的直播。
常某说，玩网游需要购买各种道具和武器；观看网络直播时，为了引起主播的关注，还需要不断地购买礼物打赏。而常某一个月收入仅两千多块钱，家庭也不宽裕。为了能在虚拟的世界里出人头地，从2015年9月至2016年7月间，常某多次窃取单位财务章，取走单位四个账户上的公款共计280.7万元。其中，十万元用于个人消费，其余270万元全部用于网游以及打赏网络主播。游戏大概花了70万，打赏主播花了200万左右。
常某交代说，开始的时候，她也曾经胆战心惊，但时间长了以后，她的侥幸心理越来越大；为了寻求虚拟世界的刺激，常某提取的金额越来越大。2016年8月，单位发现了账户异常后报警。不久，潜逃至无锡的常某被公安民警抓获。昨天，常某被检察机关以贪污罪提起公诉，本案没有当庭宣判。
