说起中国古代神话里的千里眼和顺风耳，大家一定不陌生，可你知道他们究竟长什么模样，用什么武器吗？这个答案就藏在世界闻名的大足石刻石门山石窟之中。26日，大足石刻研究员办公司副主任李小强说，经过专家们多年研究，在石门山玉皇大帝造像龛中的两尊1.82米高的造像，就是千里眼和顺风耳。
“在中国各个石窟中，千里眼和顺风耳同时出现的造像非常少见，而且这两尊造像雕刻在北宋年间，也是中国石刻造像中较早关于千里眼和顺风耳的题材。”李小强说。

李小强说，该龛中的千里眼和顺风耳神将，尽管在古代说法已久，但是在造像中殊为少见。对于千里眼的说法，在《北史》“杨逸传”中记载：“逸为政爱人，尤憎豪、猾，广设耳目，善恶毕闻。其兵出使下邑，皆自持粮。人或为设食者，虽在暗室，终不敢进，咸言杨使君有千里眼，那可欺之。在州政绩尤美”。可见在北朝时期，民间就有千里眼的俗称。

李小强说，千里眼和顺风耳的雕刻艺术极具个性。匠师为了表现他们的特征，在生理、持物等方面作了仔细的推敲。
但令专家们疑惑的是，他们手上握着的器物是什么呢？
李小强说，顺风耳手中长长的器物，曾有专家表示这个器物是雕刻的一条蛇，也有人称它是一种“听筒”。“在《列子·汤问》中的“愚公移山”故事里，就有‘操蛇之神闻之’的说法，说的是神将听闻愚公之事后，便禀报上帝。书中操蛇之神具有某种超凡的神力，或许这种神力就来源于它手中持的蛇。”
李小强说，不管如何，千里眼手中持有的这种器物肯定具有辅助他听闻千里之外的功能。
那么千里眼右手握的圆柱体器物，又是什么呢？李小强说，这个类似单筒望远镜一般的器物究竟会不会是古代的“望远镜”，目前还不得而知。
李小强说，虽然猜测在继续，但可以肯定的是，雕刻这些器物时，匠师是根据当时生活和自己想象创作的。
那么是谁营造了这龛造像呢？李小强说，在龛内保存的题记有所记载：系杨伯高为他的父亲杨文忻所造，时间为南宋绍兴十七年（1147年）。在龛内，还刻有杨文忻的“真容”像。
