2月25日16时40分，一个令人悲痛的时刻，抗震英雄史业宽在成都市第三人民医院安静辞世。
晚上9点多，四川新闻网记者拨通史业宽家属电话，确认了这个令人难以接受的消息。按照史业宽生前意愿，他的双眼角膜已经成功捐出，他的遗体也已捐往成都大学医学院，献给医学教学研究事业。
病重住院期间，史业宽曾签署了遗体捐献志愿书，他曾说，他把自己的后半生都献给了四川。今天晚上，史业宽的家人、生前好友和四川省红十字会的工作人员共同为他举行了简短庄重的告别仪式。

四川省红十字会人体器官捐献协调员伏翾宇告诉四川新闻网记者，晚上7点左右，按照史业宽生前意愿，他的双眼角膜成功摘除后捐出。晚上8点多，史业宽的遗体通过省红会捐献给了成都大学医学院，用作医学教学研究。
此前，网友通过网上捐款渠道，为英雄史业宽筹集了20余万元爱心款。他离世后，善款有所剩余。成都云公益发展促进会秘书长、成都市慈善总会副秘书长傅艳介绍，成都云公益发展促进会将以史业宽的名字命名成立爱心基金，但最终爱心基金的具体命名还要根据史业宽家属的意愿而定。
傅艳介绍，原则上，剩余捐款将作为爱心帮扶基金，用到与史业宽情况相似的遇到困境的志愿者身上。

英雄事迹回顾
6旬抗震老兵病重住院 曾带一生积蓄赴灾区当志愿者
九年前，史业宽的身份是抗震救灾志愿者。
2008年5月13日，“5·12”地震后的第二天，时年52岁的退伍老兵史业宽带着自己积攒了半辈子的积蓄，和济南军区的救援部队及众多山东籍志愿者一起赶到了绵竹汉旺灾区，没日没夜地参与地震救援，期间，他曾和救援部队一起徒手4个小时刨出被埋女孩。自己带来的60万元积蓄也全部用来帮助了灾区群众，自己却在多数时候以饼和馒头度日。

地震救援结束后，救援部队和很多志愿者纷纷撤离，老史却毅然选择了留在灾区，先后在绵竹、北川等地帮助当地百姓救灾重建，一呆就是三年，再没回过家，期间他在当地卖馒头维持生计。3年后，灾区的重建越来越好，史先生离开，来到成都当起了保安。前后9年，他没有离开过四川。
今年2月4日，61岁的老史因为罹患重症住进了成都市三医院。此后，他生病的消息传播开后为人们所知，生前他帮助过的地震灾区群众，曾经一起在抗震中战斗过的志愿者同仁，以及素未谋面的社会爱心人士，纷纷赶到医院看望他。但最终，史业宽没能从病痛中走出来，2月25日16时40分，英雄史业宽与世长辞。
