港媒称，马来西亚一名中国籍女子八个月前在一个市集，涉嫌以迷晕手法骗取一名妇人约1.75万港元（约合1.54万元人民币——本网注）。女骗徒2月25日重回旧地时被受害人认出，遭民众围捕，并把她绑在树上再报警。
香港《东方日报》网站2月28日报道，该名涉嫌行骗的女子现年56岁，2月25日再出现在同一市集，疑重施故技。不料当日的58岁受害人认出女骗徒，高声呼喊，附近民众及商贩立即上前协助。众人合力把女骗徒绑在树上，等候警察前来。但女骗徒的同党及时逃脱，警方正追缉她们。
事发于2016年8月，该名女骗徒在市集向妇人讹称女儿有病，要求对方接载患病女儿到朋友家中。受害人起初因担忧自身安全而拒绝，此时另一名中国籍女子出场，拉住受害人的手苦苦哀求，受害人最终同意。
受害人把她俩载到一个公园后，再见到第三名同党，三名女子不断询问受害人家中是否有人，其后迷晕事主，要求除下身上的金链、金手镯及钻石手镯，再火速逃去。
