蓝鲸是迄今为止地球上最大的生物。当它在海洋中遨游，就好像一座小岛漂浮而至，蔚为壮观。而你知道，人类用钢铁搭建的海上蓝鲸长什么样吗？
这就是“蓝鲸1号”，全世界最大、钻井深度最深的海上钻井平台。它重量42000吨，甲板面积相当于一个标准足球场大小。从船底到钻井架顶端有37层楼高，建造价格非常昂贵，大约要7亿美金，相当于两架空客A380的价格。取名叫蓝鲸，寓意它将成为代表人类海工领域最高科技水平的平台。而它是中国人自己造的。
再有两个星期，蓝鲸1号就要交付使用了。它是全世界作业深度和钻井深度最深的半潜式海上钻井平台。交付之前，中集来福士的项目负责人柯俊要接受业主中石油的检查。
今天业主要看的是蓝鲸1号最核心的钻井系统。为了能近距离的看清楚这些部件，大家要爬上这个距离甲板将近四十米高的平台。也只有在这里，双钻塔系统才能露出真面目，这是蓝鲸1号与其他钻井平台相比最牛的地方。
通常的钻井平台都是一个钻塔，一套钻井系统。双钻塔顾名思义就是两套钻井系统。而且这两套钻井系统是一模一样的，不是原来的是一备一用。这个分别悬挂在船舷左、右，像两只铁臂一样的大家伙，叫做顶驱。在钻井作业时，它会不断将几十米一根的油管提起，连接，然后再送进地下。过去只用一个顶驱钻井，需要接一会儿，停下来，再钻一会儿。钻井越深，需要的管子就越长，顶驱接管时间也就越多。现在双钻塔同时工作，一边打井、一边接管，钻井效率至少提高30%。
要实现最大作业水深3658米，最大钻井深度15240米这个世界之最，柯俊他们为蓝鲸的钻井系统做了很多改动。为多放油管而专门辟出来的一个空间，里面摆放的都是几十米一根的大管子。蓝鲸1号出海钻井这样的油管就要带370跟，比第六代钻井平台多了30%
如果说，五年前中国人自主建造的981在全球半潜钻井平台中，相当于手机iPhone6的水平。蓝鲸1号则要直接达到iPhone7的先进程度。这对任何一个平台建造者来说，都是巨大的挑战。
今天，钻井调试部的王为东要做的是水下防喷器的调试，这是防止平台出现井喷最重要的安全设备。2016年上映的电影《深海浩劫》中再现，2010年墨西哥湾上，一个英国石油公司的钻井平台由于水下防喷器没有正常打开，发生剧烈井喷，最终被吞没在了大火之中。血的教训，让所有人都对这个设备的调试绷紧了神经。
实际上，防喷器功能好不好用，最终还要看海上调试的结果。但今天，他们要看的是这两个大圆扭，通电以后如果能够转动，就说明防喷器功能正常。
一分钟过去了，两个圆扭没有动。三分钟过去了，还是没有动。王为东只能去搬救兵了。
