Surveys also show that more than one-third of global and Chinese executives believe that the role of Director of business innovation is best suited to lead the innovation strategy of enterprises, followed by the Research Department and a Chief Information Officer.

毕马威中国3月6日表示，今后四年，上海最有希望挑战硅谷的科技创新领袖地位，超过了纽约、东京、北京和伦敦。
这份题为《改变现状的颠覆性技术》的年度调查报告收录了全球841位技术行业高管（其中90人来自中国，168人来自美国）对技术创新、领导力和市场趋势等的观点看法。
参与调查的行业主管们指出，美国和中国最有希望实现颠覆性的技术突破，其影响可能波及全球。这两个超级大国的强势表现也与毕马威早前的调查结果相符。今年的调查显示中国的占比有些微的上升，从去年的23%上升至今年的25%，而美国则有所下降，从去年的29%下降至26%。
此外，43%的全球受访者表示，全球的技术创新中心在今后四年有可能/很有可能会从硅谷转移到另一个国家。受访者中26%的人选择上海作为挑战硅谷/旧金山的主要技术创新中心，其后依次为纽约、东京、北京和伦敦。

调查还显示，逾三分之一的全球和中国高管均认为企业创新总监的角色最适合于领导企业的创新战略，其次才是研发部门和资讯总监。
策略规划、业务单位和智囊机构/孵化器在全球范围内都被看作是创新的源泉。美国的调查结果也类似，例外的是其在前三个要素中有“企业发展”，而中国的受访者则将信息技术和研发机构列为前两个创新的源泉。
另外，调查还重点指出，美国和中国发现物联网、机器人、人工智能/认知运算和生物特征识别技术属于颠覆性技术，这些技术将会推动业务和行业的转型。同时，金融服务和科技行业被认为最有潜力从运用人工智能和认知运算中获利。
查玮亮补充道：“在未来一年中，世界会意识到人工智能将极大地改变我们所从事的所有事情。例如，亚洲对于人工智能的投资与日俱增。2017年投资者对人工智能的感叹将会是：‘如果不对其进行投资，你将坐失良机。’”
在挑战方面，技术难度、资金和风险管理等将继续是全球范围内技术创新商业化的主要障碍。获得资金对寻求创新的公司而言仍是主要的限制，而全球科技巨头却大多将平台整合视为是一项局限。
