German Government supports heavy penalties social platforms such as Facebook: against false news-Facebook-IT news

Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor (Angela Merkel) Cabinet today that support a proposal aimed at punishing social media platform for publishing false news.

The proposal provides that if social networks such as Facebook does not provide the user with information about hate speech and false news channels, or refuse to remove illegal content, the maximum penalty of 50 million euros (about 53 million dollars) in fines.

In addition, for those who are marked as content of child pornography or incitement to terrorism, social networking sites must be removed. In addition to fine the company, executives may be reaching a maximum fine of 5 million euros (about 5.3 million u.s. dollars).
