[环球网军事4月5日报道]英国《简氏防务周刊》网站4月3日报道称，3月31日，在海南岛三亚某海军基地举行的仪式上，最新一艘江岛级（056/056A型）轻型护卫舰入列中国人民解放军海军并被编入南海舰队。
第二天，一艘江凯Ⅱ级（054A型）护卫舰在广州黄埔造船厂下水，而三天之前，另一艘054A型护卫舰在上海沪东中华造船厂下水。
新入列的1500吨级轻型护卫舰被命名为六盘水舰，舷号“514”。这是黄埔造船厂建造的第10艘056型轻型护卫舰，也是第10艘加入解放军海军战斗序列的反潜战（ASW）改版（056A型）轻型护卫舰。
除了标配的4套反舰导弹发射装置、一门H/PJ-26型单管76毫米隐身舰炮、两门H/PJ-17型单管30毫米舰炮和8联装红旗-10近防导弹发射装置之外，这种改版轻型护卫舰还配备了拖曳式可变深度声呐。
两艘4000吨级054A型护卫舰下水反映出中国继续建造这种军舰的计划。首艘054A型护卫舰已于2008年入列。
此前预计054A型护卫舰的最终建造数量为24艘，但这一数字已经被超越，预计整个护卫舰系列的建造总数将达到30艘，然后再改为建造加强型版本的054B型护卫舰。
