  2017年4月14日上午,中国地质调查局、中国大洋协会办公室、国家海洋局极地办等部门在珠江口海洋地质专用码头举行隆重仪式,热烈欢迎顺利完成2016年深海地质航次、中国大洋41航次和中国第33次南极科学考察航次任务返航的中国地质调查局广州海洋地质调查局“海洋六号”科考船及全体科考人员。


  “海洋六号”是中国自行设计和建造的,集地震和地质等多项调查功能于一体的全球首艘综合地质地球物理调查船。该船总长106米,型宽17.4米,型深8.3米,设计吃水5.5米,设计排水量4600吨,最大排水量5287吨,可在国际海域无限航区开展调查。


  “海洋六号”采用电力推进系统、动力定位、全回转舵桨等国际先进技术,配置了深海水下遥控探测系统、深海取样分析、深水多波束测深系统、深水浅地层剖面系统、长排列大容量高分辨率地震采集系统等多种高科技调查设备,并配有4000米级深海水下机器人“海狮号”,装备条件先进。


  2016年7月8日,“海洋六号”从珠江口出发,横跨太平洋,穿过赤道,驶过风云变幻内水道,挺进咆哮西风带,穿越风暴德雷克海峡,一直抵达南极半岛海域,开启了中国南极海域综合地质与地球物理综合调查的新征程。


  232天航程近7万公里,这是“海洋六号”入列以来调查时间最长、参航和轮换人员最多、作业区域跨度最广、航行条件最复杂的一个航次。


  据中国地质调查局党组副书记、副局长王研介绍,本次科考涵盖了深海、远洋和极地海域,累计完成多道地震测量1420千米,多波束测量12326千米,浅层剖面测量7083千米,深海摄像138千米,以及重力柱状取样、箱式取样、地热测量以及温盐深探测共74个测站等,获取了一批宝贵的第一手资料,取得了科考成果丰硕。“这是一次从深海大洋向极地冰海跨越的历史性航程,是贯彻党中央‘向地球深部进军’要求的实际行动,彰显了中国深海进入和深海探测的能力。”


  “海洋六号”本次科考内容中,最令人关注的是参与中国第33航次南极科学考察,共有来自中国地质调查局、国家海洋局、高等院校等10家机构的123位科考人员参与。航次总首席科学家、广州海洋地质调查局副总工程师何高文介绍,本次科考取得了五个方面的重要成果:


  第一,获得了南极海域宝贵的地质地球物理实测资料。这主要包括首次对南极海域进行了大面积、高精度、高分辨率的地球物理调查,为研究南极地质演化与全球气候变化关系奠定了基础;首次开展大范围、立体式的多波束海底地形探测,获取了南极海底近2万平方千米三维地形地貌高精度资料,可为后续科学考察和船舶航行提供水深数据;应用中国自主研发的地热探针,采获到南极海底地热流实测数据,填补了中国在高纬度寒冷海域相关探测的空白。


  第二,开辟了深海地质调查新区域。首次在南太平洋开展地质调查,发现新的富集稀土的深海沉积物,初步研究了富集机理,拓展了中国在国际海底区域的资源战略空间。


  第三,履行了中国大洋协会与国际海底管理局签订的勘探合同义务,继续在太平洋中国富钴结壳合同区开展调查,进一步摸清了中国勘探合同区的资源环境状况。


  第四,实现了科技创新和机制创新“双轮驱动”,其中包括探索“多船多站”、“海陆联合”的极地科考新模式。“海洋六号”船与“雪龙”船在南极半岛附近海域开展联合海上考察,登陆考察时又与中国地质科学院地质力学所科考队员联合开展陆地科考,是中国在极地开展更大范围、更多学科考察活动的有益尝试;搭建了开放合作,协同创新的平台。来自中国地质调查局、国家海洋局、同济大学等十余家单位的123位科考人员开展了多领域的调查研究,实现了整合力量、资源共享。


  第五,“海洋六号”积累了全海域航行保障及复杂环境下开展海洋地质地球物理综合调查的经验,大幅提升中国海洋地质综合调查能力。


  据了解,“海洋六号”此次科考遭遇重重困难,在执行太平洋深海资源调查工作中,右推进电机轴承部分突发重大故障,轮机团队耗时70多个小时开展抢修,为“海洋六号”的“右腿关节”做了一台“外科大手术”,如此抢修难度可谓史无前例。


  同时,在极端困难条件下,科考队还克服航程长、航渡距离远、作业区跨度大、极地远洋气象条件复杂、缺乏高纬度海域航行经验、船舶后勤保障压力显著等困难,积累了深海、大洋、极地航行保障和在复杂地质环境下开展综合地质地球物理调查作业的宝贵经验,培养了一批年轻的远洋极地海洋地质人才队伍,体现了中国地质调查局从管辖海域,到远海大洋,乃至极地冰海全海域综合调查能力的整体提升。


  与此同时,通过本次南极科考,还有效提升了中国海洋地质综合调查能力,在科考航次组织、科考模式创新、人才队伍培养等方面,积累了经验,完成了国家赋予的考察重任。“海洋六号”已胜利完成深海地质、大洋矿产资源和南极科学考察航次任务。(人民日报中央厨房·南方南工作室 李刚)
