4月14日，青铜峡市出租车司机任某某（男，42岁）外出跑车与家人失去联系，手机关机。
接到报案的青铜峡市公安局城关派出所高度重视，与任某某家人通过多种方式进行查找未果。
4月16日16时，青铜峡市公安局库区派出所接到群众报称：在青镇广武村铁路边发现一辆被烧毁的轿车。
接报后，该局刑侦大队侦查、技术人员及派出所民警立即赶赴现场开展勘查和走访工作。
经调查发现，被烧毁的车辆正是任某某外出驾驶的银灰色长城轿车，任某某疑似被害。
青铜峡市公安局立即启动命案侦破机制，在吴忠市公安局的统一领导下，抽调精干警力组成专案组全面开展侦查工作。
经缜密侦查，确定家住中宁县渠口农场园艺五队的海原籍男子马泽平有重大作案嫌疑。
重大杀人案成功侦破
4月17日12时许，犯罪嫌疑人马泽平（男，19岁）被青铜峡警方抓获。
马泽平供述，4月15日凌晨，其妹妹马泽花与男友李某（男，27岁，青铜峡市人）搭乘任某某驾驶的车辆回到中宁县渠口农场家中。
其父马瑞宝因对马泽花与李某找对象一事心生怨恨，持械将马泽花、李某及出租车司机任某某打死。
随后，马瑞宝、马泽平驾车将马泽花等3人尸体转移至中宁县渠口农场太阳梁后山沟内掩埋，当日上午又将车开至青铜峡广武一山沟内焚烧。
因案情重大，吴忠、青铜峡两级公安机关在全力以赴开展工作的同时，及时将案件上报自治区公安厅。
公安厅刑侦总队、吴忠市公安局及时派员深入一线指挥作战，积极协调中宁县公安局全力配合案件调查和抓捕工作。
专案组民警通过连续两个昼夜的细致工作，掌握了马瑞宝的行踪并及时通报中宁县公安局。
4月19日下午，犯罪嫌疑人马瑞宝在固原市原州区三营镇被成功抓获，案件告破。
