俄罗斯两次车臣剿匪，美国的阿富汗反恐，伊拉克战争，就像“鹰的重生”，让迫击炮重回战场。而持续多年的中东战乱，还蕴藏着一个新的战场。
近日，驻扎在中国和俄罗斯边境的俄罗斯第5军举行了实装训练，威力巨大的“郁金香”240毫米迫击炮射击视频迅速在网上蹿红。“郁金香”由苏联在上世纪60年代研制，是目前世界上现役口径最大、重量最重的迫击炮。

美军吸取阿富汗战场上的教训，在新一代迫击炮上加装火控系统。M95迫击炮火控系统使得120毫米迫击炮射击精度和反应速度都得到大幅度提高。经实战检验，配备火控系统的迫击炮效能倍增。
为满足在阿富汗战场的作战需求，美军启动加速部署精确迫击炮弹计划，研制出XM395制导迫击炮弹，并于2011年初紧急部署到阿富汗。该项目将120毫米迫击炮最大圆概率误差从136米缩小到2.2米，入选美国陆军2011年度“十大发明”。
在今年的马来西亚兰卡威防务展上，中国北方工业公司展出了GP120系列新型制导迫击炮弹，可以装备在中国国产120毫米迫榴炮上，大幅提高打击精度。其中GP120B末敏弹亮点惊人，其携带的子弹拥有对装甲车辆的攻顶能力，是名副其实的“坦克杀手”，同时它也是国际上第一种迫击炮用末敏弹。
迫击炮，沧桑百年，身虽老，志仍酣！信息化时代，等待它的，是一个新的战场。
